The Eurocodes Expert website is an
Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and
Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) initiative to provide a free online information resource on the new BS structural Eurocodes.
It is aimed primarily at civil and structural design engineers but also intended to be useful for clients, manufacturers, building control officers, academics, trainers and students – both in the UK and in other European and non-European countries where English versions of the codes are likely to be used or adopted.
The site is hosted by ICE’s commercial subsidiary
Thomas Telford and its design and content is overseen by an
advisory group consisting of representatives of ICE, IStructE and other construction industry partners. The panel is chaired by Professor Haig Gulvanessian, director of BRE's construction division and chairman of the EN 1990 and EN 1991 committees.
In addition to this information website, Eurocodes Expert has established a
Users' Group to help foster the sharing of experience and information. Members will receive a free newsletter
Eurocodes News as well as a regular email updating service and discounted publications and courses.
All contributions, suggestions and offers of support are welcome and should be made in the first instance to the Eurocodes Expert Manager in London.
